How to recharge your FASTag account using UPI & Bill Pay?
FASTag, through its Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, has revolutionised toll payments in the country by providing a convenient, cashless, and seamless payment experience across national and state highways. It helps reduce wait times at toll plazas, increasing convenience and fuel efficiency. In addition to toll plazas, FASTag is also being increasingly used at select parking plazas at malls, hospitals, and corporate parks across metro cities in India.
One of the best things about FASTag is that the process of offline and online FASTag recharge is just as seamless as the toll payments. There are various ways you can recharge your FASTag balance, including the FASTag app, at toll plazas, or by using the mobile banking app or netbanking platform of the bank which issued your tag.
Out of all these offline and online FASTag recharge methods, one of the most convenient ways to recharge your FASTag wallet is through UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and more. Let’s take a closer look at the process of recharging your FASTag through UPI & Bill Pay.

Wrapping up
It’s important to periodically check your FASTag balance online and recharge it to avoid excess toll payments and the hassle of cash transactions. Also note that if your FASTag wallet does not have sufficient balance, you will have to pay twice the toll amount as a penalty in cash. Hence, it’s prudent to always have sufficient balance.
If you are a full KYC FASTag holder, the maximum limit for recharge is as high as Rs 2 lakh. This makes it convenient for frequent highway travellers to recharge a lump sum amount, while others can choose to make frequent FASTag recharges through easy recharge options such as UPI.
